I've been watching a show called Jericho on CBS. It's about the town and citizens of Jericho just after a huge nuclear attack on america. The series begins from the day before the attack and moves forward from there. It certainly has it's cliche moments but for primetime tv it's pretty good (it's no Lost but what is).
To give the show more dynamic CBS does small online episodes containing information related to the most current episode. the most current involved government hired mercenaries to help support where the national guard is stretched thin. on this online "webisode" was Jermey Scahill, correspondent for Democracy Now. He spoke of hired groups in New Orleans after the hurricane. Mainly a group called Black Water USA, but there's others some hired not by the government but by the wealthy citizens. One Wealthy neighborhood flew in an israeli mercenary group to set up a check point into there neighborhood.

Koyaanisqatsi
Koyaanisqatsi
Koyaanisqatsi is a film with essentially no plot, but tells a simple story. It begins with serene, wide open landscapes and builds to the frantic hustle, of cluttered city life. I found it very effective in showing how out of control modern life is. The film is incredibly shot, using highspeed shots of clouds passing over skycrapers, to ariel shots of free way with hundreds of cars passing in seconds. on the most beautiful and haunting movies i've ever seen. everyone should see it.

Clorox Girls
I found out about the Clorox Girls through Flickr. Someone had commented on a photo of mine and i went to browse through their photos and there were tons of pictures of the Clorox Girls, I'd never heard them before but from the pictures it looked liked they rocked. I did a little myspace search and found they're page. Really fun energetic punk. Check out they're Myspace and the official page for tunes, videos and more.
