What if humans are aliens on earth, and when the ship crashed millions of years ago it killed all the dinosaurs and started the ice age. Then years later, finally unthawed, the neanderthal man emerged from the wreckage. But the combination of the crash and being frozen in time did terrible brain damage, erasing all knowledge of their alien civilization.
